IO2 Web-based platform for Capacity Building Courses and social learning e-centres
Intellectual Output 2 consists of the design and development of a Web Platform which serves both as an e-learning tool developing/enhancing the social entrepreneurship skills of educators/professionals working with adult migrants, and also serves as an online space for social learning, where the trained educators are able to train additional prospective educators/ professionals working with migrants in fields related to social entrepreneurship. Apart from its above-mentioned e-learning feature, the web platform also serves as an innovative social learning e-centre, in which the initially selected trained educators/ professionals working with migrants are able to further train new peer trainers by using the same curriculum.
IO3 Implementation of a comprehensive capacity development methodology of Social Learning e-centres.
O3 consists of designing a comprehensive capacity development methodology of enhancing the background of educators / professionals in developing social entrepreneurial skills to learners with migrant background, promoting in parallel the social entrepreneurship spirit and raising awareness on the alternative pathways to pursue self-sustainability for low-skilled and low-qualified adults with migrant background.
“The Methodology contains 4 basic steps which can be applied at any national context:
STEP 1: Select professionals to be trained
STEP 2: Training of trainers
STEP 3: Set up and activate the network of informal social learning e-centres
STEP 4: Validation & certification methodology”
The aim of this intellectual output is to put this Methodology in practice in each participating country (UK, Austria, Greece, Italy and France), prior to producing the Pan-European Methodology which can be applied transnationally. Thus, each partner can test the effective implementation of the above 4 steps of the Methodology, and how its implementation can produce tangible results, i.e. an increased capacity of educators in offering quality teaching, mentoring and support services to migrant adults in the field of social entrepreneurship.
